The fix stops waiting on the one person who remembers it
When a machine goes down, the fix is often in one technician's head, and the line waits until that person is reachable. We build a knowledge agent over the procedures, the fixes that worked before, and the equipment how-tos, so the answer is there whether or not the person who remembers is on shift.
When the machine is down, the fix lives in one person's memory
The manuals are a pile of PDFs nobody opens on a night shift. The fix that worked last time was never written down. The equipment how-tos are split across binders, the vendor's portal, and the technician who has run the line the longest.
So a machine goes down and the shift calls that person, or waits for them. The knowledge that clears the fault is the scarcest thing on the floor, and it is not written anywhere.
One agent over procedures, past fixes, and equipment how-tos
We build an agent that reaches all three: the formal procedures and manuals, the record of fixes that actually worked, and the how-tos for the equipment and the systems around it. Ask it in plain language what a fault code means or how the last crew cleared it, and it returns one answer with the source behind it. It takes knowledge in as well as out, so when a technician logs the fix that worked, the next person on that fault gets it.
The knowledge stays when the person who holds it moves on
The agent grows from how the floor uses it, so it does not go stale the way a binder does. When the technician who remembered the workaround retires or moves to another shift, the workaround stays. The line stops depending on one person being reachable.
