We implement AI inside the workflows your business runs on.
Not a software vendor. Not a generalist consultancy. A firm built around a specific framework and toolkit, for operational leaders who want AI handling work the team is currently the integration layer for.
01 · What we are
A framework, plus the software to back it.
McIntosh Systems is built around a framework — seven phases, three principles we do not bend, and a short list of things we refuse to do. It makes engagements legible to the buyer, gets value shipping early, and sets the team up to operate the system day-to-day with us alongside for ongoing improvement.
A framework without working software is a strategy deck. Working software without a framework is a tool the buyer has to figure out how to land. We do both, on purpose, because separating them is how AI engagements fail.
02 · Who we work with
When the team is the integration layer.
The common thread is a leader who can point at a workflow and say our people should not be spending their day on this, with the authority to do something about it. The pattern shows up across titles, industries, and company sizes.
That pattern: scattered data, repeated decisions, costly exceptions, and capable people acting as middleware between systems that should be talking to each other directly. The fix matches the failure mode. It is rarely the same fix twice.
03 · Who leads it
Shane McIntosh.
Shane McIntosh leads engagements directly: scoping, prescribing, building. Specialists join where the work requires them. The framework and the chain of custody stay with one person so the idea does not die between a consultant, a vendor, and an internal team already overloaded with the work.
Shane currently leads AI integration at his day job, co-founds Reef Insights and its data platform Reef Intelligence, and ships other projects through McIntosh Systems including ClearCodes for customs and import compliance. The shorter version, with the rest of the projects, lives at mto.sh.
